Goméz-Pinzón, GPA and Milbank have advised Canada’s Scotiabank and Japan’s Mizuho Bank in granting of a $665m credit line to Ecopetrol, the Colombian state-owned oil company, who was advised by Brigard Urrutia in Colombia and Sherman & Sterling in New York. The transaction closed September 20th.
Scotiabank will provide a $430m credit line while Mizuho Bank will grant a $235m credit line.
Goméz-Pinzón, through its partner José Luis Suárez and associate Alejandro Bonfante acted as legal counsel to the lenders.
