Goldman Sachs AM invests €200m in Portugal’s Constructel Visabeira

Portuguese multinational holding company Grupo Visabeira announced its subsidiary Constructel Visabeira has received €200m in growth equity from Goldman Sachs Asset Management for a minority stake. The proceeds will be used to accelerate organic growth and fund M&A. Constructel Visabeira is a service provider in the telecommunications and energy sectors.

Alvarium and Nau Securities acted as corporate finance advisors, Ernst & Young provided financial and tax advice and Vieira de Almeida & Associados provided legal guidance to Constructel Visabeira. Vieira de Almeida’s private equity practice is ranked Excellent by Leaders League. Oliver Wyman, Linklaters, and Deloitte LLP advised Goldman Sachs on the transaction. Isabel Fernandes acted as in-house counsel for Grupo Visabeira.
