Francisco Fernández is the new head of employment law at KPMG Abogados Spain

KPMG Abogados Spain has appointed Francisco Fernández as the new partner in charge of the employment law department, replacing Javier Hervás.
Fernández joined KPMG Abogados in 2010 after earlier roles at Deloitte and CMS, and brings more than 25 years of experience advising on complex labour matters.
The new head specialises in collective bargaining, legal assistance in court proceedings and labour and social security inspections, individual and collective dismissals, transfers, employment and senior management contracts, due diligence and M&A in the field of employment law, business succession and occupational risk prevention.
Fernández also advises HR departments on ESG-aligned employment compliance, with a track record in union negotiations and the implementation of equality, diversity and inclusion plans, LGTBI protocols, teleworking and right-to-disconnect policies, and frameworks for work–life balance, including adapted and reduced working hours.
