Fernando Calancha joins Hogan Lovells as a partner in Madrid
Fernando Calancha joins Hogan Lovells from PwC as a partner in the regulatory and energy practice.

Hogan Lovells has hired Fernando Calancha from PwC Tax & Legal as a partner in the regulatory and energy area.
The new hire comes “at a key moment for regulated sectors: the energy transition, the work that will be promoted by European funds, the importance that public-private collaboration will have in the deployment of the funds and in the water and infrastructure sectors, the importance of ESG criteria and principles and, in general, in all companies, and the marked evolution of the health sciences and pharmaceutical sector," the firm said. A state attorney on leave, Calancha, who has more than 22 years of professional experience, combines regulatory, litigation, and corporate experience in the public and private sectors. Before joining PwC in 2011, he was Chief State Attorney for the Secretary of State for Energy.
The new hire brings the total number of partners in Hogan Lovells’ Madrid office to 22. Calancha will work closely with the commercial, litigation and banking practices.
