Peruvian law firm Estudio Olaechea’s board of directors has approved the appointment of two new partners, Diego Abeo and Licy Benzaquen, in the criminal law and compliance, and energy and natural resources areas, respectively. 

These moves are part of its strategy to strengthen and expand new practice areas, and such growth reflects the commitment by the firm to continue providing a comprehensive and specialized service to meet its clients' requirements. 

Diego Abeohas advised a number of public and private companies in Peru and abroad on various aspects of their business activities.

He is a law graduate of the Universidad de Lima, and holds a Master's degree in Criminal Law from Universidad de Sevilla, Spain, and holds a PhD in criminal procedure law from the same university.

Licy Benzaquen specializes in providing comprehensive advice to companies focusing on the energy, hydrocarbons and natural resources sectors, and has in-depth knowledge of regulated sectors and wide experience in relationships with public and private institutions.

She is a law graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, holds a master's degree in business law from Universidad de Barcelona, as well as a master's degree in regulation with a specialization in energy from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).

She is a member of Peru's National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE).
