Ecuador’s Vita Alimentos buys La Holandesa

Ecuadorian food and beverage company Vita Alimentos has acquired 100% of the shares of La Holandesa (Delcampo), a leading cheese manufacturer renowned for its premium products and strong national market presence.

Vita Alimentos is known for its extensive product portfolio and commitment to quality and innovation. The company plays a key role in Ecuador’s agri-food chain, providing nutritious and sustainable products to consumers nationwide.

La Holandesa is a traditional Ecuadorian dairy company with more than 40 years of history, recognized for producing high-quality dairy products and maintaining strong ties with local producers. The company’s operations are centered on sustainable production and innovation in dairy processing.

This strategic transaction, which was subject to prior approval by the Superintendence of Economic Competition (Superintendencia de Competencia Económica), represents a significant milestone in Ecuador’s food and beverage sector, enhancing Vita Alimentos’ product portfolio, production capabilities, and distribution reach across the country, according to law firm Bustamante Fabara, which advised Vita Alimentos on the deal.
