Ecuadorian law firm HEKA has announced the addition of four partners.

Cristóbal Montufar, in the firm’s IP and tech practice; Pablo Saénz, in real estate and infrastructure; José Urizar in corporate and transactional law, and Alberto Brown, in the firm’s competition and regulatory practice.

The four partners join HEKA’s team of expert professionals with multidisciplinary profiles to meet the diverse requirements of its clients.

Alberto Brown strengthens HEKA's competition and economic regulation practice, with outstanding experience in competition authority investigations, sanctioning proceedings, merger control, regulatory analysis, and specialized competition litigation.

José Urizar strengthens the firm’s corporate and transactional practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial litigation, providing strategic insight into the structuring of transactions and the resolution of disputes related to corporate and commercial relationships.

Pablo Sáenz brings relevant experience in real estate and infrastructure, strengthening the firm's advisory services in real estate transactions, project structuring, and legal support in real estate investments, as well as strengthening the litigation area.

Cristóbal Montufar, for his part, strengthens the IP and technology offering with his experience in the protection, structuring, and exploitation of intangible assets, as well as in the legal support of digital businesses, innovation, and trademarks.

The appointments are in line with HEKA's strategy to expand its services in key areas for its clients, such as complex mergers and acquisitions, competition, corporate and commercial litigation, and the structuring and protection of tangible and intangible assets, the firm said.

This integration strengthens the range of services offered for more comprehensive advice throughout the entire business cycle and reinforces its position as a results-oriented full-service firm.

With offices in Quito and Cuenca, HEKA also has correspondents in the country's most important cities, offering its services nationwide and to international clients.
