CMS signs partnership with law firms in Brazil and Mozambique

Ecuadorian law firm Bustamante Fabara has announced the incorporation of Hugo García-Larriva as its newest dispute resolution and arbitration partner, along with his team of associates, thus strengthening the practice.
Hugo’s addition to the firm’s team follows the incorporation of four partners and 20 associates during the past nine months, evidence of the firm’s rapid growth.
Hugo has extensive experience as an arbitrator In domestic proceedings and in representing clients before local and international commercial and investment arbitration tribunals, and he has been highly acclaimed by prestigious legal publications for his work and leadership.

Hugo joins Bustamante Fabara from law firm Carmigniani Pérez Abogados, where he held the position of partner for more than five years, having joined the firm as a senior associate in 2017.
He works as an arbitrator for the chambers of commerce of Guayaquil and of Ambato, and is a secretary to the arbitration tribunals of the Quito Chamber of Commerce.
He holds an LLM from the University of Cambridge in England, and a master’s degree in business law from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and a law degree from the same university, in addition to a diploma in procedural law from the Universidad Andina Simon Bolívar Ecuador.
