DLA Piper Strengthens Labor & Migratory Practice with New Partner Appointment
DLA Piper Pizarro Botto Escobar has appointed Cecilia Guzmán-Barrón to a partner level position, to lead the labor & migratory practice area.
Mrs. Guzmán-Barrón has more than 15 years’ experience advising companies, both national and international on matters of labor law, immigration and human resources. She is widely experienced in hiring, reorganizing and managing complex layoffs, as well as adapting corporate policies to local laws; implementing changes in organizations, inspections and labor procedures, inductions for critical conversations and the prevention and resolution of conflicts, among others.
She advises on focused labor audits and due diligence, labor compliance and occupational health and safety. She is a member of Women in the Legal Profession (WIP-Peru), the International Organization of Women in Business (OWIT Peru) and the Peruvian Society of Labor Law and Social Security.
She worked as managing partner at Guzmán-Barrón Abogados for the past two years
