Demarest Announces Daniel Andreoli as New Antitrust Partner

Demarest Advogados has announced former TozziniFreire lawyer, Daniel Oliveira Andreoli, as its newest antitrust partner. The lateral hire, which was confirmed in early June, sees Mr. Andreoli join Demarest’s São Paulo office after nearly two decades at the heart of Tozzini’s competition practice.

 

Mr. Andreoli holds a bachelor’s in law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s College London. He additionally earned a specialization degree in Business Administration from São Paulo Business School.

 

In addition to having over 17 years of experience practicing competition law, Mr. Andreoli is the current president of the Antitrust Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo branch (CECORE/OAB-SP). He offers national and international clients a deep knowledge of complex antitrust issues such as investigations, leniency agreements and the drafting and implementation of antitrust compliance programs.

 

Now at Demarest’s antitrust department, Mr. Andreoli will work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced partners Bruno Drago and Paola Pugliese. In the latest Leaders League Antitrust table, Demarest was ranked as an ‘Excellent’ firm.

 

Mr. Andreoli is notably the second antitrust partner TozziniFreire has lost in 2018, following the departure of Marcio Bueno which left to set up Caminati Bueno Advogados in April.
