Cuatrecasas General Meeting of Shareholders appoints three new equity partners in Portugal: Hugo Nunes and Sofia Gomes da Costa, in the Real Estate and Urban Planning practice and Serena Cabrita Neto, in Tax practice.
Hugo Nunes was partner at Sofia Galvão Advogados and has more than 20 years of experience in real estate projects. He focuses his activity on legal support for the development of real estate projects, at all stages of the respective value chain.
Serena Cabrita was head of the tax department at PLMJ and has about 25 years of experience in the Tax area and is the author of several publications in the area of Tax Law. She is particularly dedicated to tax litigation and is certified as a specialist tax lawyer by the Portuguese Bar Association. She is also an arbitrator at CAAD - Administrative Arbitration Center, in tax matters, and a guest lecturer at the Lisbon School of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University.
Finally, Sofia Gomes da Costa was partner at PLMJ and has over 25 years of experience. She has been dedicated to cross border investment operations and real estate portfolio management, having particular experience in advising and structuring operations related to large real estate portfolios, advising investors and developers during the planning phases, financing real estate transactions and structuring and implementing investment structures.
These integrations are in line with the firm’s strategic plan of strengthening the legal advisory capacity in the Real Estate and Urban Planning and in the Tax practice areas.
