Thompson & Knight has named Rodolfo Rueda Ballesteros as a new partner in its Mexico City office, and who forms part of the firm’s international energy practice.
The Barcelona-based boutique arises from the union between Sergio de Juan-Creix and Enric Enrich, specializing in innovation and technology.

The new firm has a focus on sectors such as the creative and entertainment industries, the digital environment, or the startup ecosystem.
Sergio de Juan-Creix, who has spent a large part of his career at Cuatrecasas and also leading the intellectual property department at BDO's Barcelona office, will head the digital and technology law area.
Enric Enrich, who has been the director of the firm Copyrait for over 30 years, will be in charge of entertainment law and cultural industries, maintaining the Copyrait brand as the driving force behind the new firm, under the alliance partnership formula, which other firms have followed in recent years as a preliminary step to a possible merger.
