With this merger, Cavelier Abogados consolidates its presence in Bogotá and Medellín, expanding its capacity to serve domestic and international clients operating in the country and reinforcing its position in one of Colombia’s most important business hubs.

Medellín is a strategic location, and Consuelo Benjumea is exactly the kind of professional and leader with whom we want to build this next chapter,” Javier Escandón Jaramillo, managing partner, Cavelier Abogados, said.

For her part, Consuelo Benjumea, now a partner at Cavelier, said: “Joining Cavelier Abogados is a decision I made with my clients and my team in mind. The platform the firm offers — its international network, its multidisciplinary approach, and its reputation — significantly expands what we can offer. We remain the same professionals we’ve always been, with much more support.”

Consuelo is an attorney and certified public accountant who graduated from the Universidad de Medellín, with a specialization in industrial property, copyright, and new technologies from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, and in finance from EAFIT University.
