Peruvian natural resources and environmental law-focused firm Cillóniz Valencia & Eyzaguirre Abogados, has appointed Oscar Eyzaguirre as a new partner, effective May.
Eyzaguirre has a proven 20-years track record in solving complex legal, financial, business and regulatory issues, both as an in-house and an external advisor.
A graduate of Universidad de Lima, he holds a master’s degree in banking & financial law from Boston University.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the regional general manager and legal director for Peru of Credicorp Capital and, was secretary of the board of directors of Credicorp Capital Peru S.A.A, a publicly owned company.
He previously served as the legal and compliance manager for Deutsche Bank’s Peruvian and Chilean offices and worked as senior associate for five years at Miranda & Amado, where he worked alongside Fernando Valencia and Diego Cillóniz, Cillóniz Valencia & Eyzaguirre’s founding partners.
With over 15 years’ experience providing legal advice concerning the development of investment projects in Peru, Honduras, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Argentina, the firm specializes in mining, energy, environmental, natural resources, corporate and administrative law in a wide range of sectors including mining, electricity, oil and gas, transportation and infrastructure and water and sanitation, among others.
