Chilean law firm Lathrop, Herrera & Mujica Abogados launches

The firm, focusing on corporate, real estate, environmental and energy matters, was founded by partners Fernando Lathrop Aubert, Pedro Mujica Galarce and Sebastián Herrera Larraín.

Fernando leads the Corporate team of Lathrop Abogados. He has focused his practice on advising domestic and foreign clients in corporate, real estate, infrastructure and tax law, with a focus on family-owned companies that develop their businesses in the automotive, manufacturing, real estate, wholesale, entertainment and gastronomy, aviation and other industries. He also serves as director and advisor in domestic and foreign companies, as well as philanthropic entities.

Pedro leads the areas of real estate, urban planning and construction law. He has more than 13 years of professional experience, in which he has focused on advising the development of multiple highly complex real estate projects in all their phases, including project structuring, land formation and acquisition, permitting, financing, construction, co-ownership, reception, sale, operation, post-sale, community relations, among others.

For his part, Sebastián is in charge of the environmental and natural resources team at Lathrop Abogados. He has focused his practice in environmental, water and energy law. He has 15 years of experience, occupying relevant positions in the public and private sector. He has advised companies in various industries, such as mining, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, transportation and aquaculture.

He is an expert in the processing and identification of environmental and sectorial permits, in addition to conducting environmental and regulatory due diligence and compliance audits. He has extensive experience in administrative and judicial litigation related to investment projects.
