Chilean boutique law firm Harasic Barros launches
Posted on Apr 8, 2022

The firm is dedicated to highly complex litigation in civil, criminal, commercial, constitutional, and contentious administrative matters, in addition to advising on the prevention of potential conflicts and early dispute resolution.
After meeting years ago and having worked together at Harasic, Medina & Dal Pozzo, the three partners decided to join forces to represent clients in litigation requiring high levels of specialization and significant implications for the market, as has occurred with several of the cases it currently participates in, the firm added.
According to Natalia Barros, “we have a great work team. We are characterized by our closeness to each case, which we devote personalized attention to, something our clients appreciate and which strengthens the relationship of trust and loyalty that is vital to the exercise of this profession".
Despite the fact that several boutique law firms have emerged in Chile over the last few years, for Davor Harasic what distinguishes this new office is that, "as a firm, we worry about having a limited portfolio of legal matters and cases, which allows us to deliver meticulous, creative and personalized service, in addition to letting us take on challenging professional assignments".
"We reinvented ourselves and as a firm we permanently adopted a mixed modality of remote and face-to-face work, a decision we made after talking with all the members of our team," Davor Harasic says, referring to how the pandemic has changed working practices.
He adds that, for the partners, it is important "to maintain tradition where it is actually worth maintaining”, and which is why the firm still has a fixed office in the municipality of Vitacura, where they hold meetings and receive clients.
In addition to the three founding partners, the firm also comprises associates Marta Jiménez and Mikaela Kehsler.
Davor Harasic Yaksic graduated in legal and social sciences from the Universidad de Chile and holds a master's degree in law from the same university. He is an arbitrator at the Santiago Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Center and a member of the Bar Association Ethics Tribunal.
Ivan Harasic Cerri graduated in legal and social sciences from the Universidad Diego Portales Law School and has taken several postgraduate courses. He was a partner of Harasic & Lopez from 1998-2016, and at Harasic, Medina, Dal Pozzo & López, which later became Harasic, Medina & Dal Pozzo, between 2017 and 2021.
