Antolín Ruiz, a Chilean litigation and arbitration boutique, launches
Chilean lawyers Félix Antolín and Manuela Ruiz have joined forces to form Antolín Ruiz, a litigation and arbitration boutique.
Chilean law firm Bofill Mir Abogados has announced the addition of Tomás Pérez Lasserre as a partner in the litigation team, as the firm relaunches one of its key areas as part of its strategic plan.
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of dispute resolution, Tomás obtained his law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2009) and holds an LLM with a specialization in civil procedure and dispute resolution, from Columbia University in New York.
Prior to joining Bofill Mir, Tomás worked at FerradaNehme for five years, where he held the position of partner and was in charge of antitrust litigation and other contentious public and private practices.
He served as a lawyer in the litigation division of the Chilean Antitrust Agency (FN) between 2013 and 2015, and was an associate in the dispute resolution team at Chile’s largest law firm, Carey, from 2011 until 2013.
"This challenge comes at a very attractive time as there is space to build a renewed practice, but with the experience and backing of BM's history,” Tomás said regarding his new role.
The new partner has focused his career mainly on litigation in economic, commercial, and civil matters, as well as in strategic and preventive advice related to contentious matters. In this context, he is a specialist in commercial arbitration, litigation in antitrust and unfair competition issues, among others.
On the arrival of the new partner, Ana María Yuri, a partner at Bofill Mir, said: "Continuing our growth is part of the commitment we have with our clients and team. We are very pleased to add a young partner with an outstanding career who comes to reformulate and relaunch an area that has been a fundamental part of the trajectory of our firm".
