The Republic of Chile has issued two tranches of debt, both US dollar and euro-denominated.
The first, for $1.45 billion, was a 2.450% notes issuance, due 2031 and the second issuance was of an additional €500m aggregate principal amount of its 1.625% notes due 2025.
The underwriters of the issuance were Citigroup Global Markets, Itau BBA USA Securities, and Scotia Capital (USA) and were advised by law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU), with a team led by partners Marcelo Armas and Marcela Silva, with associate Daniel Parodi. Shearman and Sterling also acted as US counsel to the underwriters.
Morales y Besa acted as Chilean counsel to the Republic of Chile, and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton acted as the country's US counsel.
