Cescon Barrieu Launches New Toronto Branch Office

In early December, full-service firm Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados launched its new Toronto office, in an unprecedented move which makes it the first major Brazilian law firm in Canada.
 

With extensive expertise in the matter, Frederico Marques will head the new office. He holds over 25 years of experience in structuring and implementing international transactions and has acted as a strategic advisor to notable private and public companies. Mr. Marques is the executive director of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) board, he also acts as the director of Sigma Lithium Resources Corporation and is S4G Inc.'s founding partner. Before joining Cescon Barrieu’s team, he also led the Canadian firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP’ Latin America practice for the past seven years.
