Cascione Pulino Boulos Strengthens M&A and Infrastructure Departments

In January 2021, Cascione Pulino Boulos Advogados announced two new partners.

In late January, full-service corporate law firm Cascione Pulino Boulos Advogados announced the hire of a new partner, Caio de Souza Loureiro, as well as the promotion of former associate Guilherme Bertolini to the partnership, in a move which aims to consolidate and expand the firm’s activities in the M&A and Infrastructure market.

With over 15 years of experience in the public-private sphere, Mr. Loureiro has a solid experience on the structuring of infrastructure projects, public bids, management of administrative contracts, with a special focus on regulated sectors and integrity matters, both in prevention (risk assessment, integrity programs) and remediation (leniency agreements, risk management, internal investigations) of wrongdoing against the Public Administration. He has previously worked for well-known public law firm Manesco, Ramires, Perez, Azevedo Marques, Sociedade de Advogados before joining his new firm.

Academically, Mr. Loureiro holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS), a Master’s in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Pontíficia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and a PhD in Public Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).

“Caio's arrival at our firm is a natural development of our long-term growth strategy, attracting highly qualified professionals, with specialized knowledge and committed to the best client service. Its practice interacts with our main traditional areas, such as tax, financial and corporate, and his clients will certainly benefit from our high-end global approach”, stated Luca Salvoni, senior partner and member of the firm’s Administrative Committee.

The home-grown Mr. Bertolini has been part of Cascione Pulino Boulos Advogados since 2011, where he gained a wealth of experience in corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions transactions, as well as in private equity, joint ventures, distressed M&A and corporate disputes matters, having previously advised national and international clients in various sectors of the economy. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from USP.

“Guilherme's entry into our society reiterates our long-term strategy of growing through the promotion of highly qualified and specialized professionals, trained with us and aligned with our values and objectives. I am sure that he will continue to contribute to the expansion of the area, as well as to his client base, and with the solidification of our culture of excellence”, stated Eduardo Boulos, the firm’s co-founder.
