Bruno Melo Alves is the new partner at Melo Alves Advogados

Bruno Melo Alves has joined Melo Alves Advogados as partner and represents a reinforcement to the sectors of criminal and administrative litigation, compliance and internal investigations, representing a commitment to the international aspect, boosting the Asian and Angolan Desk.
The new partner moves from VdA – Vieira de Almeida e Associados, where he had been since 2015, as coordinating associate in the areas of administrative offense litigation and criminal law. Previously, he worked in the litigation and labor department of Miranda & Associados.
Bruno Melo Alves has a degree in Law from the Lusíada University of Lisbon and attended a postgraduate course in Criminology. He was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Interdisciplinary Legal Practice, in the area of criminal law. He is qualified as a lawyer in Portugal and Timor-Leste, and has significant experience in Portuguese-speaking countries, advising clients on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, criminal, regulatory, labor law and in sectors such as oil and gas, banking, mining, telecommunications, health and insurance.
