International medical technology company BD has appointed Mercedes Carmona Mariscal as its legal director for the Iberia region.
For the last three years, Carmona has worked as a partner for legal services firm Ambar Partners in Madrid. Prior to that, she was a partner in the corporate compliance practice of Ecix Group, a managing partner for MA Abogados, and the general counsel for Western Europe and company secretary for Spain for BP. She is also the secretary general for Spanish legal think-tank Inkietos and a lecturer in law at the Universidad Francisco de Vittoria.
