Argentina’s Beccar Varela welcomes new partner

Posted on Aug 4, 2025

Argentine law firm Beccar Varela has announced the incorporation of Jimena Vega Olmos, who joins the firm’s energy team as a partner.

“With a solid track record of more than 20 years advising local and international clients in complex transactions and strategic matters related to energy, infrastructure, project finance and investment arbitration, her arrival strengthens a strategic area in the firm's practice,” the firm said.

Prior to joining Beccar Varela, Jimena was a partner at Martínez de Hoz & Rueda from 2018 until 2025, a firm she joined after an outstanding career at Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen, where she worked from 1998 until 2017.

Jimena graduated in law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2002 with a specialization in economic administrative law, and has completed executive courses in infrastructure in a market economy at Harvard University.

She is currently a member of the board of directors of the Pro Bono Committee of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.

Her incorporation takes place at a key moment for the development of the firm’s energy practice, which continues to consolidate its presence in a sector that is central to Argentina's economic, social and environmental development.
