Apice acquires Ars Movendi in art logistics sector consolidation

Apice, a national operator in the art logistics sector controlled by independent private equity manager Itago, has acquired the entire share capital of Ars Movendi S.r.l., a company based in Calenzano (Florence) specialising in transport, packaging, handling and installation services for artworks for the museum and private sectors.

The transaction represents a key strategic step in Apice's consolidation project in Italy's growing art logistics market, strengthening the group's presence and operational capacity nationwide, with the aim of creating an integrated platform capable of offering a complete, high-quality service to leading operators in the Italian cultural and artistic sector. The operation will allow the group to consolidate and surpass a turnover of €27.0 million, marking an important milestone in its growth path. Following completion, the operational structures of the two companies will be integrated into the recently inaugurated new facility in Florence, with the aim of strengthening the group's territorial organisation, leveraging industrial synergies and optimising available operational resources.

Itago and Apice were assisted by BIP Law & Tax, with a multidisciplinary team coordinated by equity partner Alessandro Piermanni (Head of Corporate M&A). The transaction was managed by director Silvana Bonazzi, with the support of senior associate Francesco Antimiani and junior associate Alessio Parenti. Real Estate matters were handled by equity partner Marco Muscettola and manager Bianka Vecaj, while Employment matters were handled by partner Eleonora Cangemi, with senior associate Tommaso Frigerio. Equity partner Giuliano Zanchi and director Valentina Longo handled commercial law, intellectual property and privacy matters.

The sellers were assisted by Harpalis, with Marco Simion.
