Andersen Global links up with Belize’s Courtenay Coye

Andersen Global, the US-headquartered international association of tax and legal firms, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Belizean law firm Courtenay Coye.

Andersen Global, the US-headquartered international association of tax and legal firms, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Belizean law firm Courtenay Coye.

The Belizean firm has offices in Belize City, Placencia and San Pedro, and was established in 2005.

Courtenay Coye is a full-service firm with expertise in tax planning and trusts and provides legal services to a broad range of clients locally and internationally, including private clients, corporations and banks.

The firm also advises clients on civil litigation, commercial and corporate, real estate, intellectual property and contracts matters with a focus on agriculture, tourism and banking.

“Our transparency and commitment to stewardship complements our industry expertise and understanding of the evolving market so we are able to provide our clients with best-in-class solutions,” the firm’s managing partner Christopher Coye said.

“This collaboration allows us to strengthen our current capabilities and expand our reach more broadly, while reinforcing our firm’s competitive edge in Belize as well as globally.”

For his part, Andersen global chairman and Andersen CEO Mark Vorsatz added: “With the addition of another high-quality collaborating firm in the region, we continue to exemplify our commitment to and focus on expanding our organization’s presence to meet our clients’ needs in a seamless manner”.

“Christopher and his team bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, and are another key addition to our existing Caribbean platform,” Vorsatz added.

The collaboration with Courtenay Coye is the latest in a series of expansions by Andersen in Latin America. In August of last year, Andersen Global entered the Chilean market via a collaboration agreement with two Santiago-based firms, law firm Chirgwin Peñafiel and tax firm SPASA Consulting.

That move was followed by the announcement that Andersen Global’s Latin American member firms in Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay would operate under the brand Andersen, following the adoption of that brand name by the firm’s European members.

Established in 2013 by US member firm Andersen Tax, Andersen Global has more than 6,000 professionals worldwide and a presence in over 229 locations through its member firms and collaborating firms.
