Established in 2020, GR Legal is the result of a merger of two firms that have been operating for more than ten years in the field of Intellectual Property and Information Technology.
The founding partners, Luca Giove and Aurelio Richichi worked together in the Italian office of one of the UK Magic Circle firms, and after having set up their own firms, decided to join forces to strengthen their position at national and international level.
GR Legal has a vast experience in intellectual property litigation before the Italian Specialized Divisions, as well as in Italian and European IP-related judicial and administrative proceedings before Italian and EU authorities. The firm often deals with Italian proceedings involving parallel actions in other jurisdictions related to pharmaceuticals and biotech, chemicals, electronic and mechanical patents, as well as copyright, trademarks and distinctive signs, designs, unfair competition, in the most diverse industrial and commercial sectors.

GR Legal has extensive knowledge of out-of-court matters, and namely the negotiation and drafting of typical or non-typical contractual agreements with an IP or IT focus. The firm is often involved in large-cap M&A transactions in relation to IP and IT aspects and in patent box matters.
The firm also provides assistance in advertising law, data protection matters and regulatory matters for the life sciences sector.
