Advant Altana

Altana is an independent business law firm, with a strong industry and international approach, founded in 2009 and based in Paris. With almost 80 lawyers, including 22 partners, Altana accompanies French and foreign companies and their executives in the treatment of complex and multi-disciplinary matters in a highly regulated environment.

The Intellectual Property / TMT team has extensive transactional and litigation experience in complex strategic matters centered on innovation. The team’s dozen dedicated practitioners work in close cooperation with the firms’ other teams.

The team assists French and international clients in all aspects of the protection, appreciation, implementation and defense of their IP assets. It handles all questions related to the management and defense of patents, trademarks, designs and domain names and copyright and assists clients in their digital transformation projects (machine learning, IoT, web platforms, connected houses, smart neighborhoods).

The team advises and accompanies IT solution providers and software companies as well as user companies in a large range of transactional (integration, development, software contracts) and dispute resolution (litigation, expertise, arbitration) matters.  It also acts closely with the CNIL (data privacy authority) in all personal data protection issues, particularly the application of GDPR.
