The loan will be used by Aruma for different corporate purposes.
Aruma belongs to the Lindcorp Group and operates beauty stores in Peru with close to 100 stores throughout the country.
The loan is backed by a package of guarantees, including a trust agreement, with Interbank and BCP as trustees, Aruma as trustor, and La Fiduciaria as trustee, to which the collection rights and cash flows of certain stores operated by Aruma were transferred.
The loan “will boost Aruma's accelerated growth in this sector, generating professional growth opportunities for hundreds of women in the stores and boosting formal retail,” Marco Pastor, Lindcorp Group’s CFO and business development director, said.
Law firm CMS Grau advised Banco Internacional del Perú in the structuring, negotiation and disbursement of the medium-term loan.
CMS Grau’s team was led by partner Juan José Hopkins and his team, comprising Cinthia Cánepa, Gabriel Nájar and Juan Andrés Carrera.
Interbank’s in-house counsel were Viviana Tapia and Mariano Chumpitaz, while Aruma was advised by law firm PPU, with a team led by partner Antonio Guarniz, with Víctor Bravo and Daniela Fortón.
La Fiduciaria’s legal team was made up of Diego Uribe, Gabriela Soto and Valeria Falla.
