Peru’s BD Capital names new general manager

Peruvian asset management and investment banking firm BD Capital has announced the appointment of a new general manager for its securitization arm, Gonzalo Romero.

BD Capital is a firm dedicated to the structuring and management of investment funds and mutual funds, and also offers investment banking services to clients across Latin America.

“At BD Capital we are always looking for the best talent for our teams and we are committed to our people, that is why we are pleased to introduce Gonzalo Romero as the new general manager of BD Capital Sociedad Titulizadora,” the firm said in a statement.

Gonzalo is an economist who graduated from the Universidad del Pacifico and is also a chartered financial analyst.

He has almost 20 years of experience in the financial sector, and has worked in New York as well as in Peru. He joined BD Capital Group in 2019 and has served as chief investment officer since March 2021.

“We are confident that Gonzalo will make an important contribution to the development of the capital markets and private debt in the region,” the firm said.
