Niino, an Italian startup founded and led by Alessandro Monterosso, active in the digitalisation of non-urgent medical transport (NEMT), has closed a funding round to support its growth and the development of its technology platform. The operation will allow the startup to accelerate its national expansion and consolidate its network of carriers and healthcare facilities, which already counts over 2,000 registered users and 1,300 bookings in the first three months since launch.

Niino digitalises non-urgent medical transport through a highly innovative business model, aggregating and coordinating specialist operators across Italy and making the booking of non-emergency assisted transport simpler, more efficient and more accessible.

The lead investor is 40Jemz Ventures, alongside several Italian and international business angels.

Niino was assisted from its incorporation by Pavia e Ansaldo through a multidisciplinary team. For the investment round, the Corporate team comprising Partner Milena Prisco and Associate Carla Alagna handled all corporate law aspects, from the structuring of the transaction through to its completion. The legal structuring of the platform was developed through an integrated approach, with Milena Prisco handling commercial law matters and Counsel Mariangela Papadia covering privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and supporting the client in the preparation of the relevant documentation.

Notarial matters were handled by Giovannella Condò, co-founder of Milano Notai.
