Mexico’s Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes adds two partners

Mexican law firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes has announced the promotion of two new partners, effective July 1st.

Luis Pablo Ramírez Martínez and Armando Elsharkawy Martínez have been appointed partners in the litigation/arbitration and tax practice, respectively, bringing the firm’s partner count to 24, with four directors and more than 100 professionals covering more than 20 practice areas.

Luis Pablo Ramírez, has more than 15 years' experience in various litigation areas, with an emphasis on administrative litigation. He has represented multiple clients in various types of trials and contentious procedures, before authorities at the municipal, state and federal levels. He also has extensive experience in commercial arbitration.

He has also participated as a party attorney in various national and international commercial arbitrations on behalf of our clients.

For his part, Armando Elsharkawy, also has more than 15 years’ experience in tax consulting related to operations for local and multinational companies, particularly in real estate and infrastructure projects, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and tax restructuring, project financing, specific investment projects and securitizations, as well as consultancy related to the application of agreements to avoid double imposition and anti-abuse regulations, among others.
