A pool of banks comprising Banca Nazionale del Lavoro S.p.A., Deutsche Bank S.p.A., Banco BPM S.p.A., Crédit Agricole Italia S.p.A., Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A., and Banca Sella S.p.A. has participated in a new financing operation for Mechitronic S.p.A. The €75-million-euro facility is intended to support the group’s growth and acquisition plan.
The transaction was executed through the signing of an amendment to the original financing agreement stipulated in July 2023 and provided for the introduction of new credit lines for a total amount of €75 million. The resources specifically supported two recent strategic cross-border operations: the acquisition of the US company Apex Machine Company by Mechitronic USA and the purchase of the Brazilian firm RK Ferramentaria Ltda through Mechitronic Brasil.
Cappelli Riolo Calderaro Crisostomo Del Din & Partners (CRCCD) assisted the pool of banks with a team composed of partner Morena Bontorin and junior associate Linda Varanzano.
Mechitronic was assisted by the international law firm Gianni & Origoni (GOP), with a team including partners Emanuele Grippo and Gerardo Carbonelli and managing associate Andrea Zorzi.
Regarding local law aspects, the parties operated in coordination with Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP in the United States and Veirano Advogados in Brazil.
