Genetic acquired by Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital, with Pavese family reinvestment

Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital completed the acquisition of Genetic from CVC Strategic Opportunities and the Pavese family, which reinvested alongside the new shareholders in a 50-50 partnership. The deal strengthens Genetic’s international growth strategy in the pharmaceutical sector.

Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital have completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Genetic from CVC Strategic Opportunities and Rocco, Francesco, and Francesca Pavese. The Pavese family has reinvested alongside Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital in a 50-50 partnership.

The company, operating globally in the pharmaceutical sector and serving a client base that includes major international pharmaceutical companies, reaches nearly five million patients worldwide each year and exports over 40% of its production to more than 40 countries. The group headed by Genetic is also active in the direct sale of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and wholesalers through its subsidiary Genetic Pharma, as well as in the development and production of food supplements and medical devices through its subsidiary Genelife.

Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici assisted Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital with a team led by equity partner Gianni Martoglia, together with managing associate Marco Malesci, associate Fernanda Mottura, and junior associate Costanza Ettorre. The banking aspects were handled by counsel Tiziana Germinario, while Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison advised on English law matters with partners Neel Sachdev, Matthew Merkle, and Nicolò Ascione, and associate Marco Bagnato.

Studio Riccardi Salom Tedeschi, with partner Maurizio Salom, advised Renaissance Partners and Aurora Growth Capital on tax and structuring aspects of the transaction.
