GED acquires four Spain-based health services providers

Iberian private equity group, GED Capital, has acquired a majority stake in four Spanish health services providers: Dynamic Science ("Dynamic"), Pulso Ediciones ("Pulso"), Mederic Ediciones ("Mederic") and Viguera Ediciones ("Viguera") from their respective founders and managers.

The firm has merged all four companies after picking up majority stakes in all four businesses. Dynamic is a clinical research company, while Pulso, Mederic and Viguera focus on medical education. The agreement reached contemplates that the founders and the management team of the companies maintain a minority participation and continue to lead the management of the companies.

The new group will have a workforce of 130 and an aggregate turnover of 15 million at the end of the year. GED's objective is to create a leading platform in Europe in the healthcare ecosystem, focusing its activity and growth around three axes: clinical studies, continuing medical education and patient support programs. “Our goal is to create a national leader with a European presence, and to this end we have already identified a portfolio of potential acquisitions”, says Enrique Centelles Satrústegui, managing partner of GED.
