Armilar's investment was part of a €600,000 seed investment round, in which Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda also participated.
WalliD was created in 2018 and incubated in Caixa Mágica Software, a spin-off of ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
Users of the WalliD platform can store their identification documents in a digital wallet, where they can access them using an encrypted key.
The team of lawyers from Lisbon law firm DLA Piper ABBC advising Armilar on the deal included partner João Costa Quinta (pictured) and senior associate Rita Costa Carvalho.
