Chile’s Regcheq acquires Mexican compliance solutions provider UBCubo

Regcheq SpA, a Chilean company providing software processes allowing its clients to ensure compliance, has acquired UBCubo, a Mexican legal tech company that provides IT solutions for compliance with anti-money laundering obligations.

Regcheq digitizes, automates and centralizes all processes and controls for compliance with current regulations.

UBcubo is a so-called ‘RegTech’ that provides IT solutions for money laundering prevention compliance, and which focuses on companies and individuals that have to comply with the federal law for the prevention and identification of operations with resources of illicit origin.

The company serves financial entities as well as real estate and construction companies, jewelry and precious metals dealers, vehicle dealerships, armoring services, civil Society organizations and foundations, as well as private assistance institutions (IAP)

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Regcheq was advised on the acquisition of UBCubo in Mexico by Mexican law firm Ritch Mueller. The firm’s team was led by partner Eric Silberstein Lerner, with Diego Rodríguez Rodríguez.

Law firm Calderón y de la Sierra acted as legal counsel to the seller.
