Chile’s PhageLab raises more than $3.5m in financing round

This transaction demonstrates PhageLab’s ability to attract capital in successive rounds, reinforcing its position as a leader in developing biotech solutions for the supply chain, according to Chilean law firm Carey, which advised PhageLab on the negotiation and preparation of legal documents for the financing round.

Carey advised on the international structuring of the deal, ensuring efficient implementation and compliance with global standards.

“The investment strengthens Chile’s innovation ecosystem and positions PhageLab as a key player in regional biotechnology,” the law firm said.

Carey’s team was led by partner Francisco Guzmán, with associate Andrés Latorre.

Law firm Tanoira Cassagne acted as counsel to The Yield Lab, with a team led by partner Eugenia Martínez Gualco, while Portaluppi Guzmán & Bezanilla, which acted as counsel to the counterparty, with a team led by partner Eugenio Guzmán Gatica.
