Chile’s Comfrut secures $13m loan

The financing will be used to acquire a new plant for the production and processing of frozen fruit located in the Chilean city of Curicó, and is guaranteed with a set of assets.
Comfrut produces a wide range of fruits, such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, peaches, grapes and apples, with the US and Canada its largest export markets.
Chilean law firm Larrain y Asociados advised Banco Consorcio on the structuring, negotiation, documentation and closing of the financing.
The law firm’s team was led by partner Patricio Montes, with associates Diego Garay and Michelle Inzunza.
Comfrut was advised by Vicuña Abogados.
