Carey Hires New Economist

The firm is expanding its tax and antitrust departments.

On June 20th  Chilean firm Carey announced the hiring of Mariana Sepulveda, who will work in its tax and antitrust departments.

 

Mariana has more than 15 years’  experience in the fields of research, economic and financing counseling, planning, management control and investment relations. At Carey, she will work on strengthening the firm’s services, valuing assets and entities, and also advise on transfer pricing and financial issues.

 

Furthermore, she will work with the antitrust team, which covers all fields of antitrust and regulated market legislation, including litigation before the Antitrust Court and the Supreme Court, as well as providing advice on investigations and negotiations of agreements with the National Economic Prosecutor (FNE).

 

Carey’s tax practice is led by partners Jaime Carey and Jessica Power and consists of 26 professionals, including lawyers, certified accountants and law clerks. The antitrust department has a staff of 14 and is led by partners Claudio Lizana and Lorena Pavic.
