Publicado em 3/06/2025

BNP Paribas Group has completed a significant cross-border restructuring of its Swiss banking operations by merging BNP Paribas Suisse SA into its Paris-based parent company, BNP Paribas SA. As a result of the merger, BNP Paribas has established a new branch in Geneva and expanded the activity scope of its existing branch in Zurich.
This strategic move is aimed at streamlining the group’s structure, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening the alignment of its Swiss banking services with the global business model of BNP Paribas. The transaction reflects a broader industry trend of consolidation and simplification in response to evolving regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
The cross-border merger represents a milestone in BNP Paribas’s presence in Switzerland, bringing together decades of Swiss banking expertise under the direct control of its Paris headquarters while continuing to serve Swiss and international clients through its newly aligned branch framework.
