Asian push by US litigation boutique Kobre & Kim

This US litigation law firm based US litigation is opening its third Asian office in Shanghai. One of his leading partner i.e. Shaun Wu has been relocated to open and head the new office.

Founded in 2003 by Steven Kobre, a former federal prosecutors and Michael Kim , the firm launched its first Asian office in Hong Kong in 2010, followed by a second office in Seoul in 2015.


Shaun Wu, the new head of this new Chinese office will focus on focus on commercial disputes and US government investigations involving China.
Wu has joined the US firm in 2012 from King & Spalding, as part of the firm’s plan to strengthen its Asian practice. 


As Wu explains  “Unlike many other international firms, we didn’t come to Shanghai following the firm’s institutional clients [...] We are here to be what I call the first conflict-free disputes and investigations firm in Shanghai.”

Kobre & Kim now has 10 offices worldwide and 4 investigation and trial support centers in Buenos Aires, Chicago, Tel Aviv and Turks and Caicos Islands.
