Ramón y Cajal adds Tomás Peña Grande as a partner in its commercial team

Spanish law firm Ramón y Cajal Abogados has added abogado del estado Tomás Peña Grande as a partner in its commercial practice area. An associate professor at Carlos III in Madrid, Peña Grande has a Ph.D. in law and arbitration from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he also earned his law degree. For the last six years, he has worked as an abogado del estado in various roles for the Spanish government, most recently in the State Commercial Society for Agricultural Infrastructure. He has also served as the deputy head of legal service for AEAT and the Audiencia Nacional and worked for the International Arbitration Department of Spain in renewable energy.

Francisco Palá, managing director of Ramón y Cajal, highlighted Peña Grande’s “extraordinary professional and academic experience.” The firm added that the new partner will help strengthen one of its growing practice areas that is seeing increased demand from M&A clients.
