Peruvian law firm Estudio Muñiz has announced the incorporation of Raúl Vizcarra as a partner.

A lawyer with more than 12 years of experience in corporate and financial transactions, Raúl is a graduate of the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

During his professional career he has been an international associate in the Latin American practice of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. He also spent time at law firms PPU and Miranda & Amado. His specialized focus is corporate law.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Raúl has also held the positions of associate professor in commercial law at the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and he has also published articles in a number of specialist legal publications.

Founded in 1981, Estudio Muñiz comprises a team of professionals with a high level of specialization in various areas of law and with a deep knowledge of the economic sectors in which they operate, according to the firm’s website.

In addition to corporate law, the firm has multiple practice areas, from aviation law and international arbitration to tax, compliance, foreign trade, environmental law, energy, real estate and labor law, among others.

The firm is headquartered in Lima with offices in 10 Peruvian cities, including Arequipa, Cusco, Trujillo, Tacna and Puno.
