ICAFAL buys stake in Chilean solar company Tritec-Intervento

ICAFAL Inversiones has acquired a stake in Tritec-Intervento, one of the largest players in Chile in the construction industry for renewable energy projects and green energy solutions.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed and its closing is subject to certain conditions that are usual for this type of operation.

Created in 2005, ICAFAL Inversiones participates in the ownership and management of related companies with a presence in various industries, including the public and private health sector, energy, railways, agriculture and transportation, among others.

ICAFAL Inversiones functions as a platform for ICAFAL Engineering and Construction to apply for concessions and develop infrastructure for public and private use, from conception to materialization, start-up and long-term operation.

Tritec-Intervento is a renewable energy developer that has developed more than 500 solar energy projects in Chile, with total power generation capacity of more than 110MW, and the company serves a variety of clients that include corporates, energy companies and universities, and has more than 35 years’ experience in the industry.

Law firms Bofill Escobar Silva and Larrain y Asociados advised Icafal Inversiones on the stake purchase, and which included the due diligence process, and the drafting, negotiation and signing of the transaction documents.

Bofill Escobar Silva’s team was led by partner Loreto Silva, with associate Ignacio Cantillana, while Larrain y Asociados’ team was led by partners Arturo Bulnes and Juan de Dios Ferrada, with associates Michelle Inzunza and Francisco Cerda.

Tritec-Intervento was advised by law firm Honorato Delaveau, with a team led by partner Juan Andrés Larrondo, and the company’s in-house lawyers Antonia Silva and Daniela Nogales.
