Bolivia’s PPO Abogados promotes IP partner
Bolivian law firm PPO Abogados has strengthened its intellectual property and privacy and data protection practice with the promotion of Ana Valeria Escobar to partner.

Escobar has more than 10 years of experience as an intellectual property lawyer, and which also spans related practices such as entertainment, consumer protection, advertising and privacy and data protection.
She is a graduate of the Universidad Católica Boliviana and earned a master's degree in entertainment, media and intellectual property law from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
She is the only lawyer in Bolivia to hold the only Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certificate as an expert privacy law professional.
Prior to joining PPO, she worked with the US Trademark Office and for other Bolivian law firms specializing in intellectual property.
