Bolivia’s Moreno Baldivieso appoints new partner
Bolivia’s largest law firm Moreno Baldivieso has announced the appointment of Teddy Mercado as a new partner.
Teddy joined the firm 12 years ago as an apprentice law, earning himself a permanent position at the firm.
He currently covers a wide range of areas concerning corporate law, with his core work focusing on cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, domestic and international arbitration, foreign investment, and public procurement.
He regularly advises multilateral financial organizations, banks, investment and hedge funds in sophisticated finance transactions, including sovereign loans, syndicated loans, project finance, trusts and collateralization.
Fluent in English, and French, apart from his native Spanish, Teddy is a first-class honors law graduate from the Universidad Privada Boliviana and holds an LLM in international business law from the Université Panthéon Assas in Paris.
Additional post-graduate studies include studies in M&As at Georgetown University Law Center and in negotiation, conciliation and arbitration at the Bolivian Chamber of Commerce.
