Bolivia’s Dentons Guevara & Gutiérrez adds partner
Bolivian law firm Dentons Guevara & Gutiérrez, part of the global firm Dentons, has announced the incorporation of Zoya Galarza as a partner of the firm.
“Zoya has been with the Firm since 2008 and has had an outstanding professional and academic development and performance,” the firm said in a statement.
Based in the Santa Cruz office, she is a former Fulbright scholar, holds an LLM from New York University and has diplomas and has taken specialized courses in antitrust, compliance and arbitration.
Her practice focuses on administrative and regulatory law, with special emphasis on prevention and compliance programs, as well as representation and defense in administrative litigation, particularly in antitrust matters, for which she is highly regarded in Bolivia.
"Zoya has a remarkable ability to organize teams, bring together opinions and proposals and, above all, motivate and encourage other lawyers,” Ramiro Guevara, managing partner of Dentons Guevara & Gutierrez, said.
“We value her youth and energy and consider her promotion a clear signal to the new generations of associates," he added.
In addition to her work at the firm, Zoya is president of the board of directors of Fundación Pro Bono Bolivia, a founding member of the Women in the Profession (WIP) group, vice president of the commission on economic competition and compliance of the ICC – Bolivia, and a founding member of the Very Young Arbitration Practitioners Bolivia.
She has also been invited as a lecturer at important universities, both for undergraduate and postgraduate program, and has received invitations to give national and international lectures in her areas of expertise.
