Bird & Bird has reinforced its tech & data team in Paris with the promotion of Willy Mikalef to partner.
Mikalef provides assistance to companies, governments and authorities on complex regulatory and contractual matters in the IT, telecommunications and satellite sectors across Europe and in emerging countries. He also acts for clients in legal proceedings before various regulators and courts.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Willy Mikalef worked in the TMT department of leading law firms in Paris and London. He earned a postgraduate degree in electronic communications and space activities law from Paris Sud University and has a master’s in business Law from Pantheon-Sorbonne University. After passing the bar in 2013, he cut his teeth at YGMA - TMT Law Firm before joining Bird & Bird in 2017.
