Wipro Hydraulics to acquire majority stake in Indeco

Wipro Hydraulics, a division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, has announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of a majority stake in Indeco Ind S.p.A., an Italian company specialising in the manufacturing of equipment for the construction, demolition, and recycling sectors.
Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Bari, the Indeco Group specialises in the production of hydraulic hammers, pulverisers, shears, and a wide range of other demolition equipment. The company operates production facilities in both Italy and the United States.
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, part of Wipro Enterprises, operates across the hydraulics, industrial automation, aerospace, water treatment, additive manufacturing, and electronic materials sectors. With 16 production plants worldwide, Wipro Hydraulics specialises in the design and manufacture of custom hydraulic cylinders for applications in various industries, including construction and earthmoving, material handling, forestry, agriculture, mining, and truck tipping solutions.
The completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining customary approvals from the relevant authorities.

The operation also involved teams from A&O Shearman offices in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Singapore.
