Three Hills Appoints Alessandro Gonella as Managing Director for France and Italy

Private markets investment firm Three Hills has appointed Alessandro Gonella as a Managing Director to reinforce its Capital Solutions strategy across the French and Italian markets. The strategic hire underscores the firm’s focus on deepening its local capabilities and relationships within two of Europe’s most dynamic middle markets.

Gonella brings significant transactional and operational experience to the firm, having previously served as a Senior Director within the Large Cap team at the French sovereign investment fund Bpifrance. During his tenure, he led multiple transactions across the aerospace and defense, B2B services, and industrial sectors, partnering with management teams to drive business expansion through M&A and organic growth initiatives. He began his career advising corporates and private equity funds in the Transaction Services team at KPMG in Paris.

The appointment marks a key milestone in the firm's business plan to strengthen its local presence in France and Italy. Founder and CEO Mauro Moretti noted that the addition reflects the firm's ongoing commitment to investing in the right markets and talent to deliver for investors and portfolio companies, highlighting Gonella's combination of transactional expertise, sector breadth, and cultural fluency.
